Reining & Western Performance

You can see how in tune the horses are with Sabrina. They respect her as their trainer, and they
enjoy learning and working hard.  Stallions are happily welcomed, however priority is given to those
being trained specifically for reining.

Sabrina grew up showing "All Around" in APHA, along with competing in polo cross, draft horse
shows, and hunter jumpers.   It wasn't until Sabrina began attending Colorado State University that
she met up with trainer, Mark Guynn, who introduced her to NRHA caliber reining.  The freedom AND
control of riding so much power on a draped rein had her addicted!  She continued to show
successfully under Mark's guidance until opening her own training business in 2007.

Behind the Training
Sabrina's passion is helping horse and rider become a team both at home, and in the show pen.
While working with a non pro rider and their horse, Sabrina takes pride in helping a rider and their
horse learn to communicate and respect each other while building confidence and having fun.

Sabrina's work is consistent, and her horses learn how to think and respond, instead of react.  She
believes a horse must understand the mechanics behind what you are asking him to do, and be
trained as an individual to develop the tools needed to be a level headed riding horse, and a solid
reining horse.   To achieve this, Sabrina focus on a solid foundation, and takes pride is preserving their
work ethic, and ensuring they enjoy their job as an athlete.

What Clients say...

Just a short note to tell you how much I appreciate all you have
done for me.  Dixie is perfect for me, and we are finally becoming a
team with your guidance. Her temperament and eagerness to
please makes it easy for a novice like myself to learn reining. My first
show was nerve racking, but you helped keep everything
together.  I can't wait for the next show season!

Sabrina has the patience and sensitivity to work with the mares; as
well as the firmness and knowledge to train the stallions. She feeds
the horses well, Charges a reasonable fee, treats them with
respect, and TRAINS them. Sabrina is an up and coming professional
horsewoman. She is ambitious and dedicated. I highly recommend
her as a horse trainer.

Sabrina's training methods produce a relaxed happy youngster who
is happy to do their job.  The care she provides her training horses
is excellent. I'd recommend her to any youth, amateur, or non-pro
looking for a coach and trainer!

I’ve been training with Sabrina Duncan for over two years now and
she has transformed my horses and my riding! She taught me the
finesse of using spurs, patience, and how to get the most out of
my horse. I’m showing at a higher level than I ever had before and
enjoying it more than ever too! Training for my horses not only
includes consistent methods that get results, but also Hilton style
care during their stay. Sabrina is an excellent teacher of both horse
and human and her genuine enthusiasm for the sport of reining is
very contagious! Thanks for the hard work and good times – I
couldn’t have made it without you!!! I'm proud to call you my
trainer AND friend.
